During the Battle of Hoth, Luke Skywalker led the aerial defense of Echo Base. Intercepting an Imperial Assault made up of AT-AT and AT-ST Walkers, Rogue Squadron took to the skies in modified T-47 airspeeders. Using their harpoons and tow cables to slow the Empires advance, the team suffered heavy casualties but ultimately bought the Rebels just enough time to escape.
